Stay Safe

For some, being in, on or around the water is a passion, for others it’s a livelihood and for the lucky ones, it’s both. The coast is an exciting place to be – but it’s easier than you think to get into trouble in and around the water and although our lifeboat crews and lifeguards save hundreds of lives a year, there are still around 160 lives lost at the coast every year. If we want to change these statistics, we need to focus on prevention, so stay safe with our essential safety advice which covers a broad range of water activities to help keep you safe at the coast. Whatever activity you do and no matter how experienced you are, taking a few minutes today to understand the risks, could save your life.
